Food Allergy Test

This test is used to determine if you have allergic reaction to common household foods known to trigger an allergic reaction. Our bodies generate antibodies to specific substances we have allergy or sensitivity to.

Immunoglobulin E (IgE) are proteins produced by our immune cells against specific foods we are allergic to and can be measured in blood.

A high IgE level to a particular food correlate to an increased likelihood of an allergic reaction upon ingestion of that food.

Although this blood test will enhance your knowledge of potential allergens you may have, only a personal evaluation by a healthcare professional using diagnostic testing, history, and physical can make the diagnosis.

Serum IgE levels do not always correlate with severity of an allergic reaction
